sometime newer pdf files cannot open inside brave browser. Then you need to set

brave://settings/content/pdfDocuments

the default to download.

Then change in Windows the default for the file extension .pdf to Acrobat (or any other app you want to use).

Download file in brave and then go to the download list and klick right maus on the file and choose “open with system viewer”
